Student fees and PhD bursaries
If you are a PhD student and have a paper accepted for (oral or poster) presentation, then you can apply for one of the 20 EPSRC bursaries we have. These cover the all inclusive fees. Additional nights will have to be paid for.
Given the source of the funding, we have to give priority to EPSRC funded students but other students can also apply and will be considered if the number of applicants allows. The decision will be made on a first arrived first served basis.
If you wish to apply, please tick the appropriate box on the form and send a cheque (see above) to cover the fees; we will only cash it in if necessary, after telling you, or will give it back to you at the conference if your application was successful. Please note that if you want to book any additional nights you should pay for these when sending in your registration form (e.g. on a second cheque or by any other payment method). If these arrangements are not satisfactory, please contact Meinir Davies.
In any case, student registration must be accompanied by a letter signed by the student’s supervisor stating that the student is indeed currently registered for PhD studies and if the student is funded by EPSRC or otherwise (if applying for a bursary).
If you want to be able to have wireless access to the Internet during TAROS, two options are available. The first, and by far easiest, is to use Eduroam. If your institution is a member of Eduroam, please try to use that option. If you cannot use Eduroam, please fill in the relevant details on the registration form and we'll try our best to provide wireless access during the conference.
Once you have registered, you should receive by email confirmation (as soon as payment is received) and a pack (towards mid-August) on local arrangements and travel information.
If you have any queries regarding payment, accommodation, etc., please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
