Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems
A Platform for the Robotics Community in the UK, Europe and Worldwide
TAROS is a platform for robotics researchers with a wide range of
interests from the UK, Europe and worldwide. TAROS welcomes paper
submissions on a wide range of topics related to the principles and
practice of robotics. The submissions procedure will be made
In 2007, TAROS was be hosted by the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
In 2008, TAROS will be hosted by the University of Edinburgh and will happen on September 1st-3rd. More news soon.
TAROS welcomes submissions from senior researchers and research students alike, and specifically provides opportunities for research students and young research scientists to present their work to the scientific community.

Invited international keynote speakers

The speakers come from two very different areas of research (and places of the world). Hugh Durrant-Whyte, Centre of Excellence for Autonomous Systems, University of Sydney, Australia, works on navigation of autonomous robots and sensor data fusion while Jean-Arcady Meyer, AnimatLab, Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6, France, is interested in bio-inspired robotics. Both are at the forefront of their respective areas. This promises inspirational talks and will allow for interesting discussions during the conference.Back
